Music holds a special place in my heart (I mean duhh, of course—this is a music blog), but for a moment, I grew distant from it. I never intentionally stopped listening to music; I just began to enjoy the silence. Then I realized that silence was the loudest kind of noise.

I started to notice the ambient sounds that consumed my space—the hum of the AC, the distant traffic, the creak of my chair. Quickly but surely, I realized this is the soundtrack to my day-to-day life. But what makes up the moments? What shapes your life experiences and memories?

Sure, the noises may help paint the picture. But music—music—stimulates the senses and brings back memories from a time when you were once a different version of yourself. It allows you to pause, reflect, and truly see how far you’ve come.
