“ And we back…” – Chance The Rapper
Lately, the masses has been noticing the loss or lack of sense of self from artists. It has gotten so bad that the 5 minutes of fame have consumed the industry. We love catchy fast songs, but what about the artist? The creative that disappears and returns polished each time…

Well, in today’s creative in review we have Starline. Our polished version of Acid Rap. I have been a Chance fan since day 1 (same hood, everything). So when I heard the introduction I screamed. Not because y second fav rapper dropped but because I saw the West Chatham legend as the louder than a bomb poet he is.
This 17 track album displays growth and a deeper understanding of himself and his world.

With a more polished sound, Chance doesn’t take us back on acid but instead his journey since getting off of it—since he stopped putting it at the forefront. Not only has he done this with his album but if you have been tracking him for the past 7 years you’d notice that this energy has been emerging. Since he’s been in Africa. Songs like Child of God aren’t featured, but a more reflective and God-centered being is at the forefront.

From the highs and the lows, like Chance we have to take space and time to think a better future for ourselves. Overall, if you need to reawaken your creativity or your fight, this is the album you need.
